Internet chatting...
Is evil. Don't ask me why.
It just is.
The illusion it creates of actually knowing a person who might be sitting a million miles away, is just that. An illusion. Pah!
Met a lovely person the other day. Completely adorable. Somebody I knew reasonably well, but at the same time did not know at all.
It was very, very, very strange.
I've never thought you could get to know a person by swapping text messages with them, which is essentially what googletalk or any other chatting mechanism is. Its a point of view that made sense to me. Which is why I never considered any of those conversations serious indicators of personality. Its still hard though, to prevent a mental image from forming.
I suppose people who're more used to using these things would look at it differently. Its possible. Its only in the past year that I've started using gtalk.
Perhaps I shouldn't have been so reserved. I could have left my "Rahullookslikethistoacquaintances" face at home and been friendlier. It might have turned out nicer, and not jar so very much.
Its hard to get rid of gtalk though, in my current state with all my friends spread far and wide. I'll see if I can get a mike. It might help.
Oh yeah...
before I forget. Nair has finished his exams. Bla. Nair has flown home Bla bla, and meeting as many people as he can before flying back.
Cheerio.
It just is.
